The latest is Shirley Sherrod of the USDA, who had to resign over a video twisted completely out of context. Sherrod—who wasn't a USDA employee at the time—was actually making the case against racism, but no matter. Breitbart's "lie" stands, aided and abetted by Fox News. "Breitbart is rapidly perfecting the 21st-century mau-mau: conservative white people are so afraid of being discriminated against that if you mention the fact that sometimes black people don't like white people—even if you are telling a story about why racism is bad—you are automatically committing a hate crime, against white conservatives," Scocca writes.
