(AP Photo/Pier Paolo Cito, File) Too bizarre to be true? A prisoner connected to the Italian mafia says Amanda Knox is innocent of murder—because his brother killed Meredith Kercher, ABC News reports. Luciano Aviello told Knox's legal team that he hid a bloody knife and house keys on behalf of his brother. He said his brother and another man entered the home to steal paintings—they had the wrong address—and killed Kercher when she discovered them. "I hid everything under a little wall behind my house and covered it with soil and stones," he said in a videotaped interview in March. "I am happy to stand up in court and confirm all this and wrote to the court several times to tell them, but was never questioned." Knox's attorneys have included the information in their bid for appeal, but they seem a little unenthusiastic. "The alleged location of the murder weapon and the keys to Kercher's house has yet to be investigated, and we hope the court will look into it." No rush or anything.
