US | Faisal Shahzad No Perp Walk Today; He's Talking Too Much Faisal Shahzad's court appearance is delayed By John Johnson Posted May 4, 2010 5:29 PM CDT Copied A local resident, left, and members of the media photograph a house in Bridgeport, Conn., where Faisal Shahzad worked. (AP Photo/Mark Lennihan) Faisal Shahzad won't be appearing in court today as scheduled, and maybe not even tomorrow, because he's offering up so much information to investigators about his alleged terror plot at Times Square. Feds formally charged Shahzad with five terror-related counts late in a day when details about him came fast and furious. The biggest: His own claim that he trained to make bombs in a lawless region of Pakistan ruled by the Taliban. Still, the feds made no mention of links to al-Qaeda in the charges, notes AP. Other developments: The Connecticut Post and New York Times dug through trash outside Shahzad's Bridgeport home and found a cache of personal documents that fill in details about his 11-year stay in the US. Pakistan made multiple arrests of people suspected to be involved, reports Reuters. Read These Next Another big brand delivers an AI-driven holiday dud.
