(AP Photo/Richard Drew) Energy and materials stocks led broad advances on the markets today, as investors were encouraged by a better-than-expected weekly US jobs report and news of slowing Chinese inflation, the Wall Street Journal reports. The Dow jumped 106 points to close at 10,144. The Nasdaq added 30 points, settling at 2,177. The S&P 500 rose 10 points, closing at 1,078.
