(AP Photo/Richard Drew) Stocks tumbled into the close today as investors grew increasingly risk-averse after the release of disappointing reports on durable goods and new-home sales, the Wall Street Journal reports. The Dow fell 120 points to close at 9,762. The Nasdaq dropped 56 points to 2,060. The S&P 500 lost 21 points, closing at 1,043.
