(AP Photo/Mustafa Quraishi) At a McCain campaign garage sale to recoup money spent on the trail, some investigative reporters picked up BlackBerrys—and got a journalistic treat, MyFox Washington reports. One device was full of campaign phone numbers and emails. The Smartphone had belonged to a Democratic organizer for McCain and offered a firsthand look at the world of grass-roots stumping. The reporters called the available numbers, and those who picked up told them that “somebody made a mistake.” Another said, “They should have wiped that stuff out. Given the way the campaign was run, this is not a surprise.” The campaign itself said “it was an unfortunate staff error, and procedures are being put in place to ensure all information is secure.” Read These Next Merchants could slap new surcharges on certain credit card purchases.
