Trouble in Paradise for Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban

After nearly two decades of marriage, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are separated, according to sources who spoke to outlets including TMZ and People. Despite a romantic Instagram birthday post from Kidman to Urban in late June, sources say the couple has been living apart since the beginning of summer—and that Urban is apparently the one angling for a split. Says another, "She [Kidman] didn't want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage." Sources say it's not clear whether the separation will lead to a divorce. Kidman previously divorced Tom Cruise, with whom she has two children; the couple separated in 2000.

Kidman and Urban, who wed in 2006 after meeting the year prior, share two daughters ages 14 and 17. Another source adds that Kidman is "holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone"; sources say her sister and other family members have been a big help. The family home is in Nashville, but Urban has reportedly moved in to his own place in the same city. The country singer, 57, is currently on tour, while Kidman, 58, just finished filming Practical Magic 2. (Back in July, Urban ended an interview abruptly after a question about his wife.)
