When President Trump said Thursday that he would be "going out tonight" with law enforcement and the National Guard in Washington, DC, it wasn't clear exactly what he would be doing. He ended up delivering pizza and burgers instead of riding along with law enforcement as expected, Fox 5 DC reports. Trump thanked the military and law enforcement in a brief speech to hundreds of agents and officers in the Anacostia neighborhood, a short distance from the White House, reports the Telegraph. "We have great hamburgers cooked by the White House and we have pizza that I said, don't do it in the White House because we went to that place that makes the best pizza," he said.

"We've had some incredible results, that results have come out," Trump said of his efforts to crack down on crime in DC, where violent crime was already at a 30-year-low. "And it's like a different place; it's like a different city. It's the capital. It's going to be the best in the world." He had a slice of pizza before he returned to the White House, reports the Telegraph.

In his remarks, Trump also pledged to remove graffiti in the city and replace grass in parks. He said he knows a lot about grass because he owns golf courses, NBC Washington reports. "We have a life and grass has a life, and the grass here died about 40 years ago," the president said. "Let's say, at the end of a year, this place will be maxed out in terms of beauty."
