Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom's Engagement Is Off

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have reportedly split up after nine years together—including a six-year engagement—and one child. People says it can confirm that the 48-year-old English actor and 40-year-old American singer have called it quits. According to TMZ, Bloom will attend the weekend wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez as a single man. Fox News reports that he arrived in Venice solo on Thursday, while Perry, who went to Sanchez's bachelorette party, is continuing her world tour in Australia.

Bloom and Perry met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016, People reports. They briefly split up the following year, saying they were taking "respectful, loving space." Their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, was born in 2020, the year after they announced their engagement. Bloom has another child from his marriage to Miranda Kerr, while Perry was briefly married to Russell Brand. "Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable," an insider tells US Weekly. "It's not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life."
