The Supreme Court is getting a chance to speed up its inevitable review of the legality of President Trump's tariffs. Two companies that make educational toys petitioned the court on Tuesday to put their case on an expedited track, reports Bloomberg. The joint appeal filed by Learning Resources and hand2mind essentially asks the court to "leapfrog" the federal appeals court process, per NBC News.

If the court agrees to do so, it would likely hear arguments in the fall. The companies assert that Trump overstepped his authority by imposing tariffs on China under the International Economic Powers Act. "Even as these punishing tariffs cause American businesses and consumers to bleed billions of dollars each month, there will be no relief any time soon," the companies' lawyers wrote in court papers.
