(AP Photo) US officials are increasingly worried that the next terror attack could be perpetrated by Americans or citizens of the European Union, MSNBC reports. Three German citizens—two ethnically German—were arrested last week in a plot to destroy a club frequented by US military personnel. The arrests have drawn attention to “the white men of Waziristan,” the extremist haven in Pakistan. US intelligence sources have reported seeing an increasing number of “white men” in al-Qaeda’s camps, and believe the organization to have dozens of Westerners trained in terrorist operations. Outreach to Westerners has intensified as well: Videos with addresses from al-Qaeda leaders have started coming in English, as have extremist websites.
