(AP Photo/Robert Scoble) John Edwards' former mistress has been a part of high-profile social circles in New York, and Los Angeles, but finding old friends willing to talk about the Rielle Hunter they knew is a tough task, the News & Observer reports. Hunter started out partying with a literary crowd in New York, where she did drugs and was a "seeker of truth." She moved to Los Angeles to escape the drug culture, and got married, and wrote several unproduced scripts. From there, she moved on to a spiritual world, associating with swamis, astrologers, and healers. In 2006 she met Edwards and began making "webisodes" following the candidate on the campaign trail.
