Dems: Give Sanders a 'Major Role'

Bernie Sanders sounds like he knows the writing is on the wall, but a new Reuters/Ipsos poll finds that most Democrats don't want their runner-up to head quietly back to Vermont: More than three-quarters of those surveyed want a "major role" for the Independent senator in shaping the party's platform, while nearly two in three say Hillary Clinton should tap him as her vice presidential running mate. And while two out of three also want Sanders to get in line and endorse Clinton, there's an interesting coda: 44% want him to mount an independent bid for the Oval Office, while 47% think he shouldn't. The poll was conducted right after Clinton clinched the nomination.
