Step 1 will be returning Bill Clinton to the sunnier presence on display before the Iowa caucuses, reports the New York Times. "It looks like she either needs him to fight the big battles for her, or she can’t keep the big dog on the porch," says one observer. The ex-president's invoking of Jesse Jackson on Saturday didn't help.
