The last toll-taker wrapped up her shift at midnight, paving the way for a fully automated system designed to save millions in the coming years, reports the BBC. Drivers no longer have to stop at the booths, which isn't sitting well with everyone. "I think it means that we're more interested in conveniences as opposed to human interaction," the second-to-last driver to pay in person tells the San Jose Mercury News.
