Steubenville Rape Case Far From Over: Ohio AG

The Steubenville rape case isn't over yet, according to Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine—who says he will convene a grand jury to see whether more people should be charged, CBS News reports. Two teenage football players were found guilty today of raping a 16-year-old girl, but DeWine notes that 16 other people wouldn't talk to investigators; several were underage. Possible charges will include failure to report child abuse or failure to report a felony.

Three other boys—two of them players on Steubenville High's vaunted Big Red team—apparently witnessed the rape and recorded it rather than trying to stop it. They were granted immunity in return for testimony that helped incriminate Trent Mays, 17, and Ma'Lik Richmond, 16. "This community desperately needs to have this behind them, but this community also desperately needs to know justice was done and that no stone was left unturned," said DeWine.
