US | Secret Service Report: Secret Service Chief Faces Perjury Charge Office of Inspector General may be eying charges By Kevin Spak Posted Oct 17, 2012 12:15 PM CDT Copied US Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan testifies on Capitol Hill, May 23, 201, before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak) Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan may soon be hit with perjury charges over his agency's prostitution scandal. Sources tell Fox News that an investigation from the Department of Homeland Security's inspector general indicates that Sullivan may have lied to Congress, and that the inspector general has been talking with Justice Department prosecutors for months about filing charges. During his testimony, Sullivan said that they had identified all the women in the scandal, and that none had any connection with "criminal activity or criminal organization" or with foreign intelligence agencies. But sources say that at the time Sullivan knew that the intelligence community had confirmed that one of the women had produced a hit on the CIA's database of known criminals, and another yielded a partial hit. He also allegedly manipulated a report to the Senate Homeland Security Committee to downplay past incidents. Read These Next The 8 Democrats who bucked party on shutdown have something in common.
