Nevertheless, all three are considered to be free of the kind of dramatic character problems that have plagued the NFL recently. The prospects' disclosures struck one GM as, if anything, a good sign. "A lot of players wouldn't say anything or would deny it," he argued. "That kind of honesty probably relieves anxiety about a player's character rather than increases it."
