(NYPD) The most popular Internet forums linked to al-Qaeda have gone offline over the last couple of weeks, but a disturbing image has surfaced on those that remain. "Al Qaeda Coming Soon Again in New York," warns the graphic, which contains an image of the New York City skyline, the New York Daily News reports. The FBI and NYPD are trying to trace the source of the image, which has appeared on several Arabic-language websites. "The NYPD Intelligence Division’s cyber unit is investigating the origin and significance of the graphic which appeared on the few Arabic-language al-Qaeda forums that remain online at the moment," said an NYPD spokesman. FBI officials say that while the agency is "aware of the posting, and investigating its authenticity and origin," there is "no specific or credible threat to New York at this time."
