Newt Leads Mitt in Fla., 34%-26%

Newt Gingrich might just be on his way to another primary win. The latest InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion Research poll has Gingrich leading Romney 34.4% to 25.6% in Florida, followed by Ron Paul (13.1%) and Rick Santorum (10.7%). The poll has Gingrich leading Romney among every age and race category, but his lead is most pronounced among young people—Romney got an astonishing 0.0% of 18- to 29-year-olds.

The poll could, of course, be an outlier, the Weekly Standard points out, noting that RealClearPolitics' average for the race, which incorporates the InsiderAdvantage figures, has Romney on top 36.7% to 26%. Public Policy Polling tweeted last night that the race was "neck and neck," later elaborating: "2 more people picked Mitt than Newt out of about 600 people we polled tonight...that's how close we're talking."
