Celebrity | Bear Grylls Bear Grylls' 7-Year-Old Rescues Little Girl Like father, like son? By Evann Gastaldo Posted Aug 5, 2011 1:30 PM CDT Copied In this May 25, 2010 publicity image released by Discovery Channel, adventurer Bear Grylls is shown at Mount Borradaile in Australia's north-western Arnhemland. (AP Photo/Discovery Channel, Luis Enrique Ascui) Bear Grylls grapples with crocodiles for a living, so is it any surprise that his son Jesse saved a girl's life—at just seven years old? "They were in a little base in a stream and she fell in," Grylls tells the Daily Mail. "I wasn’t there, you know, and the story grows and grows every time he tells me—but he did rescue her and he was proud as punch to have dragged her out." Another amusing tidbit from the interview: Jesse's life motto is to be prepared and never give up ... and to eat lots of chocolate. Notes Grylls, "How can you argue with that one?"
