(AP Photo/Karel Navarro) See 1 more photo The father of the Peruvian university student allegedly killed by Joran van der Sloot has confronted the suspect for the first time at the Lima prison where the Dutchman is held. Van der Sloot is charged with killing Stephany Flores in his Lima hotel room a year ago after meeting her at a casino. Ricardo Flores encountered Van der Sloot at the Castro Castro prison yesterday for what was to have been a hearing before the suspect's pending trial.
