World | Moammar Gadhafi Gadhafi's Daughter Sues NATO as Raids Intensify Moammar speech: 'We will not kneel!' By Newser Editors and Wire Services Posted Jun 7, 2011 6:24 PM CDT Copied Smoke rises from explosions after a NATO airstrike in Tripoli, Libya Tuesday. (AP Photo/Abdel Meguid al-Fergany) Lawyers for Moammar Gadhafi's daughter filed suits today in Paris and Brussels, claiming war crimes by NATO and the alleged assassination in late April of four of the Libyan leader's relatives. State prosecutors said officials are assessing whether the case from Aisha Gadhafi can be admitted, a process that could take weeks. Today, meanwhile, marked the heaviest and most punishing NATO airstrikes yet—with more than 40 daylight attacks. In late afternoon and as the strikes continued, Libyan state television broadcast an audio address from Gadhafi, who denounced NATO and vowed never to surrender. "We will not kneel!" he shouted. It could not be confirmed whether Gadhafi's 10-minute speech was a live phone call or an audio recording. "We will not surrender: We only have one choice—to the end! Death, victory, it does not matter, we are not surrendering!" Gadhafi said. He called the rebels "bastards." Read These Next California sheriff seizes half-million ballots.
